While I always feel for people who lose a loved one, and I feel sympathy for the Kennedy family, I have a few things to point out about Sen. Kennedy. Not wanting to speak ill of the dead, but we can be sure that as I write this, liberals are getting together, happy for the perfect timing of Kennedy's demise so they can use it, soak it and wring it for all it's worth to try and pass healthcare reform. Kennedy was a far left liberal- and an avid fighter for socialized medicine.
Please though- think about this. If Kennedy was under the healthcare plan the socialist obama government is trying to force on the rest of us- He would have died a lot sooner. Either he would have been denied treatment because of his age and the severity of the disease, or he would have had to wait so long for treatment, he'd never have had made it this long.
I'm not trying to be mean spirited- just speaking the truth, which those who are running Washington feel we needn't know.

I don't think your entry is mean at all, honest absolutely, and we know some do not like honesty. I feel for the family as they've lost someone they love, but that's it. I feel for "me" personally he stood for a great many things that I feel firmly opposed to. Now I am praying for his replacement, because as much as it's hard to swallow he or she will have "large" shoes to step into, in nothing else because Kennedy made sure he was heard constantly.
I'm praying for someone who has a true, honest love and fear of the Lord and puts our Lord above himself and others, and obey's the LORD.

You said it truthful and correct. We have compassion for the Kennedy family-- but make NO mistake, the man did a lot of damage during his life and got away with it for all his riches on earth. Pro-Gay, Pro-Abortion, Anti- 2nd Amendment, etc., and now he will meet his Judge and eternity. I am NOT his judge-- just an avid student of history and Bible.

How right you are Carolyn, once again to explain it so balanced. I know there must be many tears from the closest loved ones. I did not agree with his left wing ideas at all and hope he asked Jesus into his heart before he passed. I do hope he wasn't one that denied the existence of hell.

Very well said! I agree that his death will be used to try to Communize healthcare in this country. It was very interesting that when an amendment was introduced to put members of Congress under the proposed "health care reform" or "health insurance reform" or whatever its called this week, the Democrats howled a resounding "NO!!!" That should be enough said right there.
