Some of you know about a new movement some folks started this past week. It's called the Constitutional Freedom Party.
People are asking me, why is a Canadian born American even trying to form a new political party. Some folks believe another party among dozens is a waste of time and will only further the fracturing of our political system. Some see it as drawing crucial votes away from the "good" guys in the next election. Others just see it as a useless venture, noting the fraud and corruption of the two parties that we already have. While these are all valid points, I must here now state why this stay at home, home schooling mom created the Constitutional Freedom Party.
Why am I doing this. Perhaps the question really ought to be, whom am I doing this for?
First and foremost, I am doing this for our soldiers. Past and present. For the handful of wonderful and patriotic Veterans I know- I am doing this for them. For the men I encounter when I go out on any given day, those who are older, many of them frail now in body, yet bold and passionate in their minds, those who wear their caps proudly- I am doing this
for them. For those, their brothers, who never made it back, and those who are still missing- I am doing this for them.
And for those awesome men I know who are serving now, who have been and are in places I will never see, so far away, fighting for freedom, I am so honored and humbled to do it for them.
I can not sit back anymore, knowing there has been so much blood spilled, so much sacrifice for our freedoms and everything we hold dear, only to watch it all slip away. I can not sit back and do nothing. I can not leave this nation unfought for at home, while others have and still are fighting for us on the other side of the world. I am doing this for them,
and for their families they must leave behind.
I am also doing this for my family, and my friends. I am doing this for my child. For the kids in my home school group. The precious faces of our future that I see as I teach them about this nation. I could not look them in the eye and teach them about the importance of the American Constitutional Republic knowing I allowed this nation to fall without
doing my utmost to preserve it for them.
I am not a politician, but I am passionate about the state of politics in our nation. I am not a leader, but I will do what I can do, and allow others who have already jumped in, and others who want to join us, I am more than excited for them to let their gifts shine.
I am not a public speaker. I will speak through my computer, through blogging ideas, social media and videos to teach. I am not a warrior, but I will wield my pen and with what strength I have, I will fight to bring this nation back to what the Founders intended. I am not yet a citizen, but I humbly swear now that I will uphold, support and defend the Constitution and laws of the United States of America against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same. Those who would work to destroy or dishonor the Constitution, I will fight.
I am an ordinary person, but with others, we can do extraordinary things. We can win our nation back and we can make our government what it was meant to be... a Constitutional Republic, a government of the people.
God Bless all who read this. I hope you'll join us at the Constitutional Freedom Party.

Dearest Carolyn,
It is an honor to "know" you. I sincerely mean that. I have tears in my eyes after reading "Why am I doing this?" You write so eloquently, yet it is straight-forward and from the heart. I feel we could be sisters because I feel exactly as you do, but I just can't write as you do. I haven't been on FB alot the past few days...we are going through a rough patch right now. I wanted to write to you so that you know I support you emotionally. Please know that my hand is holding your hand every day. I am behind you 100%. I am not sure what I will be able to do to "physically" help with the projects. I see I have a lot of catching up to do on Facebook. Take Care! From Candace
No need for a new "party", just a return to the originsl, and yes that may - change,,, will - mean to take up arms as intended.
My father, Canadiam born, understood this well joining the U.S Army from the onset
I'm hoping that creating this new party will educate the people and those who are planning to run, so we CAN get back to the original. THank you Christoper- and your dad, too. Another Canadian patriot.
Carolyn,
I am compelled to inform you of my Dads patriotism which is that of the United Sates for which he served.
He did however, in private life, return to Canada but all the while retaining and unstinting his American Citizenship.
Christopher, I did understand that your dad served for the United States, and I am grateful for him! He is a great Canadian born Patriot! :-D Thank you!
an incredible sentiment eh? Hope you and the family are doing well my dear friend. God Bless You and yours as we face the unknown with an expired (read: useless) mayan calendar...lol...
Happy 2013 (it is for me already)
Well done Carolyn or in another world my little Duck friend.
I love your sentiment, your excitment and your passion.
Take care
Sandi

Hey Polsis! :) Thank you so much!!
As a former congressional candidate turned author, I can assure you that a new political party will not elect candidates in our lifetimes. That is not to imply that what you are attempting is not a truly great and altruistic idea, just that you need to approach it with realistic expectations. The Tea Party has never won an office, but has been able to elect candidates w/in the Republican party who are making a difference. Maybe your party can do the same. America needs all the independents we can find to effect change of the status quo in D.C. Thanks for the patriotic effort!!!
By the way, my novels cover a wide range of subject matter from politics to religion and faith. As a Christian lady, you might enjoy "Noah," my modern day story about Noah's Ark, faith in a loving God, and dealing with the death of loved ones. Thank you again, and have a great day!

Don't let the detractors discourage you, Carolyn, I am firmly convinced that a 3rd party is necessary to rally conservatives and those remaining true Republicans who hang on to the "republican" party out of desperation. And most of all, to save the Republic.
I also think it's better to be in the right and lose than to compromise and "win". There will always be some gains as a result of standing firm on principle, in the next world if not in this one.
I don't have much to offer, being old, in debt, and in poor health, but I just read your Mission Statement, and I agree with everything in it. That amazes me.
Last year, I changed my party affiliation to "unaffiliated", and sent the GOP at several levels a strong letter of reprimand. Since I agree with everything in your Mission Statement, does that make me a CP member? If not, how and where do I sign up?
Thank you so much lawngreen! I've left a reply on Scoop a few minutes ago, and will leave one here as well, please contact me at CFP4US@aol.com I'll answer any questions you have.
I appreciate you checking us out, and your enthusiasm! It's great! Thank you!

Biblical Prophecy Teaching Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life
