The Bible tells us that in the last days there will be deceivers and many Antichrists in the world. I believe this, as it is happening more and more, and as Jesus put it- the birth pangs are coming on closer and stronger with each one!
Obama's 1st Judge Pick Anti-Jesus?
By Jonathan Falwell
When Barack Obama was elected as our nation's president in November, I urged Christian America to earnestly pray for him because I believe the Bible compels us to pray for our leaders. And while I continue to pray for our president, I was perplexed this week to learn about his first judicial nominee, David Hamilton, who has been nominated to the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. As noted by Wendy Wright, president of Concerned Women for America, Judge Hamilton is...
"the infamous activist judge who in 2005 ordered the speaker of the Indiana House to immediately stop the practice of 'sectarian prayers' at the opening of the legislative session. Apparently the prayers were too Christian for Mr. Hamilton."Judge Hamilton ruled,
"They should refrain from using Christ's name or title."Is he serious? As I've pointed out on several occasions in this column, this nation was founded on, and has a long history of advancing, Judeo-Christian values. Our nation's capital is bursting with Christian imagery, including the frieze of Moses and images of the Ten Commandments at the U.S. Supreme Court. Our founders fearlessly placed their faith in the Christ of the Bible.I wonder how men like Judge Hamilton sidestep the numerous statements of our founders in advancing Christian principles. What does he think of James Madison, the father of the Constitution, who wrote that...
"the belief in a God All Powerful, wise and good … is essential to the moral order of the World and the happiness of men"?Do men like Judge Hamilton simply disregard the words of Elias Boudinot, president of the Continental Congress (1777-78), who wrote,
"Our country should be preserved from the dreadful evil of becoming enemies of the religion of the Gospel, which I have no doubt, but would be the introduction of the dissolution of government and the bonds of civil society"?This is our history, the record of our founding, and I could write for hours about pro-Bible, pro-Christian statements from our founders, including John Jay, our nation's first Supreme Court chief justice (and the second president of the American Bible Society, by the way), who said,
"… it is the duty, as well as privilege and interest, of a Christian nation to select and prefer Christians for their rulers."Tragically, men like Judge Hamilton either ignore or revise the intent of such words. It is interesting to note that the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, where Judge Hamilton would sit if approved, overturned his decision to oust Christ's name.Mrs. Wright said,
"David Hamilton proved the liberal American Bar Association correct when they rated him as 'not qualified' for his current post. Hamilton's decisions reveal a deep disrespect for the Constitution and overinflated view of his own opinion. Senators would be derelict in their duties if they vote to promote him to do further damage to religious freedom and justice."This is a tragic move on our president's part. I was hopeful that President Obama would understand the necessity for prayer in government, specifically after I learned of the words he wrote on a paper he left at the Western Wall in Jerusalem during last year's visit there. The Israeli paper Maariv obtained the paper, which read:
Lord,Protect my family and me. Forgive me my sins and help me guard against pride and despair.Give me the wisdom to do what is right and just. And make me an instrument of your will. That is a beautiful and heartening prayer by a man who obviously believes in the power of prayer. ( Perhaps Mr. Falwell, you've never seen or considered playing to the cameras?!) Therefore, I wish to urge President Obama to carefully consider the men and women he nominates to our nation's courts. Especially at a time like this, our nation cannot be burdened by the rulings of those who would: 1) ignore our clear Judeo-Christian historic record, and 2) further alienate people who wish to exercise their religious freedoms without government intrusion. (Please tell me you are not naive enough to not know this is exactly what they want to do?!)

My Reply- As I posted it to the blog page:
While I respect pastors such as Mr. Falwell, I have to wonder how well they are discerning wolves in sheep's clothing and those of the Antichrist spirit which the Bible warns of. Now, I so not hold any higher education in theology or religious studies, so forgive me if putting someone who is not a church leader in this category. Seems to me though this man Obama has a whole lot of people deceived, even maybe some of the "elect", meaning well meaning but blind Christians.Mr. Falwell, I really mean no disrespect, but before this man was elected, I was able to see by his fruits that he is NOT a Christian. Oh, he may speak ear tickling words when it suits him, but in seeing and hearing him during the year of campaigning, it is not perplexing at all to understand his anti christian choices for his cabinet and judiciary posts.Think Mr. Falwell, please- think of this man during the campaigning. First of all, he signed bills which would deny children born during a botched abortion the right to have care- allowing them to die alone, cold, hungry and in a garbage can. Think about how he said that if his daughters "Chose" to be promiscuous and have sex before marriage, he didn't want them to "be punished with a baby'. When asked what his view on when life begins- he said "it's above my pay grade" to answer.Consider his past pro death stances, and it is not perplexing in the least that he would "choose" to appointing pro abortion people to his administration, nor should it be surprising that he has, in record time required tax money to pay for overseas abortions, proposed pro abortion agendas and court planned parenthood, and even threatening to remove the conscience clause for doctors and nurses to where they would not have to be forced against their religious convictions to perform abominations- I mean abortions. Now, it is not perplexing in the least to me that he is anti christian Mr. Falwell. Remember his oh so tolerant words about us Bible clinging bigots? How about how he replies much the same as many other "spiritual" people these days, when asked if Christianity is the only way to heaven, and if there is a literal hell. He says, "there are many paths to the same heaven.. and my god would not send people to a hell." Does that sound like the Holy Spirit talking? The man is pompous and proud. He shows no humility when so many people were and still are calling him or comparing him to messiah. I did not hear him telling people to stop, that he is just a man, and that there is a real Messiah, who is alive and coming again soon. The man spent 20 years attending, listening to an anti christian church, where he proudly had his daughters baptized. Only when it was made public the blasphemous talk of "Rev." Wright did Obama chastise the man and start looking for another church. Not to mention his "spiritual" advisers since coming to the White House- "rev." Moss, is a Jr. Wright.Mr. Falwell, I could go on and on, but I guess I've had my say. One more point though. The Bible tells us the signs of the end of times, and what to watch for. I will not be looking and putting my trust in politicians to do what is right to bring America back to her Christian roots. I am putting my trust in My Lord Jesus Christ- and seeing that perhaps the Obamas and the rest of the godless people we have in Washington are unknowingly fulfilling events which have to happen before Christ will come again. After all, I have not seen, as much as I've looked for and prayed, America is not in the Bible. I will pray for Obama and his family, for a saving grace in Christ Jesus, and the filling of the Holy Spirit- but I am also praying God's will, whether it is popular or not. God Bless you!

I am far from being the only one who questions Mr. Falwell in his judgement. It is many pastors and other supposed men and women of God who are instructed to lead the flock - who are doing just the opposite and leading many of the flock astray. In this day when there are so many things happening which show the Bible coming alive before our eyes, it is a sad thing to see so many pastors so fixated on the world and not on the soon return of Jesus.
