If people would just thin...Very good post, Carolyn! If people would just think this through for about 60 seconds, they would see that the Republicans can't obstruct anything because of their very small minority numbers in Congress. It's the Democrats that are being the problem. If the majority of Democrats, not even all of them, would vote for it, it would have been passed before now.

But that's what the "summit" was all about. It was not about bipartisanship. It was about trying to make the Republicans look bad because Obama & the rest of the Democrats know what's coming in November. All polls show that incumbent Democrats, from state legislatures, governorships, & on up to Washington are in big trouble this year.

Recent numbers I saw from Rasmussen showed the numbers of opposition to this has risen. 58% of likely voters now oppose the health care monstrosity, & 61% think that both the Senate plan & House plan should be scrapped & they should start all over.

I don't think this is going to pass in any form. I don't think Obama is going to get those in his own party on board with it because of the impending doom at the polls in November.

Dirk
THE FIRST AMENDMENT, NOT POLITICALLY CORRECT II
http://tsalagiman2.blogspot.com/Dirkhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04794945973074374935noreply@blogger.com
